Brooklyn College designated hitter Ronald Pierce was sensational. He went 2-4 with a home run, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once, but it wasn't enough to rally his team to a win. Mesa College beat the Hounds, 6-4. The Mastadons saw their record improve to 16-18.

Mathew Brown, who leads the SL2 with a .942 slugging percentage, came through for Mesa College with a 2-run home run in the bottom of the third. The left fielder went 2 for 4 for the game, including 1 home run and 1 double. He scored 1 run and collected 2 runs batted in.
