Fans at Point Pleasant Field witnessed the Halifax Fishin Cows blank the Shadowland Reapers, 2-0 behind a superb effort by starter Gregory Pollock. The Halifax right-hander allowed 1 hit in recording the shutout.

"Gregory was good today but I don't want to focus too much on a single game," Halifax manager Marley Smith said later. "If you're capable of playing at this level, you're capable of having a good game. The real question is if you can learn from that game and repeat it."

Pollock has posted a 13-5 record for the year with a 4.16 ERA. Teams are hitting .237 against him and he has rung up 144 strikeouts in 125.1 innings.
