|
The Oakland Athletics had to overcome a good performance from Seattle pitcher Kevin McCarthy to claim a 3-2 win at O.co Coliseum. McCarthy went 6 innings and allowed 2 runs. Sergio Castillo earned the save for Oakland, his 5th of the year. The win gives Oakland a record of 19-13.
Sergio Lira, the Oakland catcher, contributed a run-scoring single in the bottom of the fourth inning to make the score 2-1, Athletics. For the game, Lira was 1 for 3.
