Friday, June 12th , 2054
In a powerful performance that left the fans at Colorado Field buzzing, Colorado Rockies third baseman Rogelio Madrid blasted a trio of home runs en route to a 8-4 win over the San Diego Padres.
"Everything was clicking," Madrid told the press. "My timing was good and I got pitches I could handle and I didn't miss them."
Madrid shined brilliantly in the win, with 3 hits in 4 at-bats, 4 RBIs and 3 runs scored.
"It's not just one guy, it's everybody," Rockies manager Chad Girodo said. "Rogelio played great but it takes more than one guy to win a game."
Rogelio Madrid hit a two-run home run off Jimmy Selling in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Jimmy Selling in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off Jorge Mora in the 5th and struck out in the 6th.
This year Madrid is hitting at a .289 pace with 18 home runs and 41 RBIs. He has played in 62 games and scored 42 times.
