Suns Lose to Fireflies in Walk-Off
Columbia Fireflies starter Hector Vara was locked-in. He led his team to a win over the Hagerstown Suns, 3-2, in 11 innings. Columbia reliever Rodolfo Hernandez picked up the win. Juan Freyre took the loss for Hagerstown. The Fireflies improved their record to 13-21 by beating Hagerstown.

The decisive blow was delivered in the bottom of the 11th when Ricky Aguilera hit a run-scoring double off 20-year old right-handed pitcher Juan Freyre to win the game for Columbia. The home crowd went wild.

"Winning never gets old," said Vara.
