Greenville starter Efren Patterson pitched well against the Charleston RiverDogs at Joseph P. Riley, Jr. Park. The left-hander led his team to a win, 2-1. Tony Cotto was credited with the save for Greenville, his 13th of the season. Greenville is now 29-14.
Greenville shortstop Javy Quinones helped the Drive go up, 2-1, in the top of the sixth inning. With the game tied, Quinones hit a run-scoring single off Charleston pitcher Greg Krikorian.
"Winning is not something we take for granted," Patterson said.
