Boston (DSL) got a terrific game from shortstop Mario Saenz. It wasn't enough, though, to prevent the team from falling to New York A (DSL), 9-7. Saenz was 3 for 5 with 2 home runs and a double. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice. Stein Garza earned the win after being summoned from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed 4 runs on 3 hits in 1.2 innings. He upped his record to 1-0. Max Skelly recorded the save for New York A (DSL), his 3rd of the season.

Juan Garza supported the New York A (DSL) cause with one out in the bottom of the fourth. Batting with the bases loaded and New York A (DSL) leading 3-2, he drew a walk, driving in 1 run.

"We'll pocket this win," said Garza, "and then go after another."

Boston (DSL), now 2-10, continues its tough start.
