With second baseman Jesse Mallory leading the charge, the Lake Erie Crushers defeated the New Jersey Jackals, 7-3, at Yogi Berra Stadium. Mallory, who is tied for 10th in the FL in stolen bases with 11, was 2 for 4 with a home run, while scoring 2 and driving in 2. Lake Erie pitcher Dan Collinsworth got the win. He's now 1-2. Fernando Jimenez was tagged with the loss. Tony Cancel got the save, the 10th for him this season.

Mallory had a big hit for Lake Erie with two out in the top of the second. With Lake Erie leading 2-0, Mallory hit a 2-run home run. It was his 5th home run of the season and put the Crushers up, 4-0.

"A great team win and something real positive we can build on," said Mallory after the game.

After today's action, Lake Erie sits at 33-33; New Jersey slips to 39-27.
