The Windy City ThunderBolts racked up a win at Standard Bank Stadium, bumping off the Evansville Otters, 6-2. Brennan Schmitz, who started for Windy City, pitched effectively for his team. With the win, the ThunderBolts have a record of 35-39.

The ThunderBolts got an important contribution from catcher Jorge Vasquez, who in the bottom of the second punched a first pitch cutter into center for a 2-run double. It was his 6th double of the season and put the ThunderBolts ahead, 3-0.

"The vibe's good," said Windy City manager Jeremy Hamilton. "We've got to keep it going."
