Rockers Hang 8-3 Loss on Honey Hunters
The High Point Rockers picked up a win at BB&T Point Ballpark, taking down the Gastonia Honey Hunters, 8-3. Starting pitcher Matt Lawhorn was a big reason why. The win puts the Rockers at 65-67, while the Honey Hunters drop to 55-77.

The Rockers benefited from a costly error in the bottom of the fifth. With Trevor Walters at bat and High Point leading 4-3, the Gastonia miscue allowed High Point to plate 1 and take the lead, 5-3.

"Matt was throwing free and easy," said High Point manager Shaun Marcum.
