Kim Jacks Two Home Runs in 11-5 Chicago Win
|
The Chicago White Sox stopped the Cleveland Indians, 11-5, at Progressive Field. The White Sox got a big game from Bae-hee Kim, who went 2 for 5 with 2 home runs, while scoring 3 times and driving in 4. Earning his 3rd save of the year was John Kushnir. Chicago now sits in first place in the American League Central Division at 63-30.
Kim contributed a big hit, a 2-run home run, for Chicago in the top of the fifth. With his team trailing 5-4, Kim took a sinker from John Conrad and stroked the home run to right-center. His 26th home run of the season allowed the White Sox to leap in front, 6-5.
"I like seeing our guys get a return on what they've put in," said Chicago manager Max Bartlett.
