|
In a career performance, Norwich Sea Unicorns center fielder Dylan Schneider sparkled with the bat at Jimmy John's Field.
Powering his way to a 5-for-5 day at the plate, Schneider led the Sea Unicorns to a nice 7-3 win over the Westside Woolly Mammoths. Schneider was in high spirits in the clubhouse after the game, joking with reporters that the big game had left him "winded."
"Oh sure, 5 hits sounds great but think about how much more baserunning you have to do," he said with a smile. "Next time, I'm just going to take 5 walks."
Dylan Schneider doubled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, doubled in the 5th, singled in the 7th, singled in the 8th and walked in the 9th.
This season, Schneider is batting .314 with 80 hits, 5 home runs, 43 RBIs, .382 OBP and has scored 44 runs.
