Rollers Clip Padres 6-5 in LCS Contest
Handed an opportunity to take a commanding lead in the League Championship Round, the San Diego Padres could not close the deal.

Game 4 went into extra frames and the Las Vegas Rollers emerged victorious, earning a 12-inning, 6-5 win. San Diego second baseman Frank Rivera was terrific in the loss. He went 3 for 5 with 3 singles and a walk, while scoring 2 runs at Petco Park today but could not prevent the Rollers from clawing their way back to parity. The clubs are now tied 2-2 in the best-of-7 series.

Las Vegas used a timely hit from Steve Hayes to get the win. The center fielder stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the 12th inning to put the Rollers ahead, 6-5. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it made an impact.

"I'm just happy to help the team win," Hayes told the Las Vegas Daily News.

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Petco Park in San Diego.
