The New York Mets and Charlotte Flyers played an exciting game.

The New York Mets faced a tough opponent in Charlotte pitcher Bahurai Poola, but did just enough to pull out the victory at Citi Field by a final score of 4-2. Poola went 6.2 innings and allowed 2 runs. Zach Lee, credited with the win in relief, is now 5-8. He allowed no runs on no hits in 1 innings.

Guy Mehegan chipped in for New York, stroking a crucial run-scoring single in the bottom of the seventh inning. For the game, the pinch hitter went 1-1.

Mehegan attributed the win to his team's "steely resolve."
