The Midland RockHounds defeated the Frisco RoughRiders, 4-3, at Security Bank Ballpark. Midland was led by 30-year old center fielder Ricardo Cea, who went 3-3 with a home run and a double. By defeating Frisco, the second-place RockHounds improved to 68-41.

Alex Starrett had a clutch at-bat with two out in the bottom of the sixth for the RockHounds. Coming up with a runner on 1st and Midland trailing 3-2, he hit a 2-run home run.

"One win at a time, one game at a time. We try not to get too far ahead of ourselves," Starrett told the Midland Gazette.
