Smith and Bercovici Dealt Wednesday, January 29th , 2048 In an effort to add some depth to its roster, the Atlanta Braves have swapped 25-year old minor league C Ryan Smith to the Pittsburgh Pirates for 27-year old minor league LHP Aurelien Bercovici. The Braves GM told reporters, "We saw a chance to upgrade our ball club and took it." In his career, Bercovici has fanned 118 batters and walked 75 in 92.2 innings of work. His lifetime won-lost record is 4 victories and 7 defeats with a 4.95 ERA and opposing hitters have compiled a .233 batting average against him. |
