Behind a solid performance from first baseman Tal-hun Uhm, the East Sydney Roosters defeated the South Melbourne Swans, 5-3. Uhm went 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 2 for the Roosters. Les Barthorpe closed it out for his 15th save. East Sydney, at 30-22, sits in 4th place in the Waratah League.

In the bottom of the sixth, East Sydney third baseman Cristian Trewhella put his team on top. With one out and a runner on 1st, he hit his 9th home run of the year. South Melbourne pitcher Trey Sherwin served it up. Just like that, the Roosters were ahead, 4-3.

"Glad to get this win," said Trewhella. "But we need to keep playing at a high level."
