North Sydney took on St. Kilda in front of a lively crowd.

North Sydney picked up a win at St. Kilda Fields, bumping off the St. Kilda Saints, 5-1. Pitcher Kurt Walsh was a major reason the Bears emerged victorious. Walsh, the winner, moves to 7-2. He threw 8 innings of 3-hit ball, while fanning 4 and giving up 2 walks. Luke Sarkies notched his 19th save in 19 chances.

Joey Guildford, the 28-year old center fielder , had a direct impact on the outcome. Guildford contributed a 2-run double in the top of the fifth inning to put North Sydney up, 5-0.

"If I go out there and help the team win, that's all you can do," said Walsh.

With the win, North Sydney pushed its record to 38-23.
