Dragons Saddle Knights with 8-5 Loss
The St. George Dragons knocked off the Essendon Knights, 8-5, at Kogorah Oval. Frank Scott was a big reason St. George won. The second baseman went 2-5 with a home run and a double. He scored 3 runs and drove in 3. John Brennan got the win, improving to 6-6. He held the Knights to 3 runs on 5 hits over 6 innings, while striking out 9 and walking 0. Ron Brennan closed it out for his 15th save.

Scott had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the sixth. On a 1-1 fastball from Matthew Westaway, he banged a 3-run home run to left, giving the Dragons a 6-3 lead. It was the 3rd home run of the year for Scott.

"We can always improve and get better, but we're feeling confident after that win," said Scott.

The win for the Dragons raised their record to 33-29.
