The Cronulla Sharks got a stellar performance from pitcher Billie Kenny, who handcuffed the Carlton offense en route to a win, 4-1, at Endeavour Field. The winning pitcher was Kenny, now 6-4. He tossed 6 innings of 5-hit ball, while walking 1 and fanning 7. Carlton now has a 6-game losing streak.

The Sharks got an important contribution from center fielder Nick Jeffcoate, who in the bottom of the fourth punched a 2-2 slider into center for a 2-run double. It was his 26th double of the season and put the Sharks ahead, 4-1.

"We missed opportunities once again," said losing manager Otto Macha.
