Bears Lose to Magpies in Walk Off
North Sydney wasted an exceptional performance by pitcher Robbie Fountain, falling to the Collingwood Magpies, 3-1. Fountain threw 8.0 innings of shutout ball for the losing team. Brycen Rose earned the win after being summoned from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed no runs on 2 hits in 2 innings. His record is now 4-2. The victory puts Collingwood at 27-41.

The game ended with a bang. In the bottom of the ninth, with Collingwood trailing 1-0, Jim McIntosh jumped on a first pitch curveball from Luke Sarkies for a 3-run home run, sending the Magpies to a walk-off win.

"This isn't football or hockey where you can overwhelm your opponents," McIntosh told the Collingwood Times. "Everyone gets 27 outs and we happened to make the most of them."
