The Knights grabbed a win, 3-2, at Essendon Recreation Reserve, overcoming a fine effort from North Sydney pitcher Robbie Fountain. Fountain went 8 innings and allowed 1 run. Essendon improves to 47-36 with the win. They lead their division by 2 games.
The Knights procured the win, in large part because of center fielder Ziggy Williams. In the bottom of the tenth, he produced the game-winning run-scoring single.
"I'll probably toss and turn tonight," North Sydney manager Adam Brisske said following the tough loss.
