East Sydney Roosters starter Randolph Clyde turned in a sterling performance against the North Sydney Bears, leading his team to a slim 2-1 win. The winning pitcher was Clyde, now 14-4. He tossed 8.1 innings of 5-hit ball, while walking 3 and fanning 5. Johnathon Bradnock was credited with the save, his 3rd in 3 tries.

It could have been a different outcome for East Sydney, had it not been for Tal-hun Uhm, the 35-year old first baseman . Uhm contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the third inning to put East Sydney up, 2-0.

"That's baseball," said North Sydney manager Adam Brisske. "You're not always going to be hitting on all cylinders."

This win makes it 6 in a row for East Sydney.
