Blues Deal Bombers 5-4 Loss
|
The home crowd was treated to a thrilling, walk-off win.
Carlton Blues starter Bob Kent pitched a strong game against the Newcastle Bombers at Princes Park, leading the Blues to victory, 5-4. Carlton leads the National League by 9 games.
Carlton won the game in the bottom of the 16th inning. With two outs and Reagan Weller on the mound for Newcastle, second baseman Mick Lees hit a dramatic solo home run, bringing Blues fans to their feet.
