Knights Walk Off with 4-3 Win
The Essendon Knights had to overcome a fine effort from Melbourne pitcher Matthew Adam to grab a narrow 4-3 win at Essendon Recreation Reserve. Adam went 7 innings and allowed 1 run. Essendon raised its record to 54-52 with the win.

Leroy Sirett was the walk-off hero for Essendon. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Knights pinch hitter hit a dramatic solo home run to send the teams home.

"This wasn't a good win," said Sirett. "It was a great win."
