South Melbourne Topples North Melbourne, 5-2

The South Melbourne Swans tallied a win at Albert Park Baseball Grounds, throttling the North Melbourne Kangaroos, 5-2. Starting pitcher Trey Sherwin was a big reason for his team's success. Sherwin, now 2-1, was the winner. In 7.1 innings, he gave up 5 hits, while striking out 4, walking 2, and allowing 1 run. The loss drops the Kangaroos to 10-12.
The Swans got a big at-bat from second baseman Mark Goudie. For the game, Goudie went 2 for 4 with a double, while adding 2 RBI. In the bottom of the second, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 2-run double. His 6th double of the season gave South Melbourne a 3-1 lead.
"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Goudie told the South Melbourne News.
