St. George beat Cronulla at Endeavour Field, escaping with a 6-5 win. The win in large part was due to catcher Felipe Ruiz. He went 2 for 4 with a home run. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Nicholas Harsnett earned the win after being called from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 1.1 innings. He upped his record to 8-6. Ron Brennan got credit for the save for St. George. It was his 28th of the year.

Ruiz had an important at-bat with a runner on 1st in the top of the eighth, when he hit a 2-run home run. The Dragons went on to win.
