The North Sydney Bears beat the South Sydney Rabbitohs by a score of 5-4. North Sydney third baseman Wayne Morrison deserved the lion's share of the credit. Morrison went 1-1 with a home run and 2 walks. He scored 2 times and drove in 3 for the Bears. Zack Strode got credit for the win, improving to 5-3. He allowed 3 runs on 10 hits in 8 innings.

In the top of the first of a scoreless game, Morrison hit a 3-run home run to put his team ahead.

"Both teams played hard," said North Sydney manager Adam Brisske.

With the win, North Sydney raised its record to 63-57.
