Sharks Win Streak Now at 6 After 4-1 Victory
|
The Cronulla Sharks picked up a win at Centennial Park, knocking off the East Sydney Roosters, 4-1. Starting pitcher Lou Renshaw was a big reason why. Victor Glennie was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 5 of 7 save opportunities. The Sharks, at 73-53, lead by one game in their division.
Cronulla relied on the hitting of Jonathan Hoolahan to pick up the win. The first baseman clubbed a solo home run in the top of the fourth inning to put the Sharks on top, 2-0. For the game, Hoolahan had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
"My job is to go out and play as hard as I can for the Sharks," said Renshaw.
