Knights Improve to 73-53 with 4-2 Win
A 4-RBI performance from Leroy Sirett, the 14th overall pick in the 2013 draft, helped the Essendon Knights beat the Melbourne Demons, 4-2. With the win, Essendon pushed its record to 73-53.

Sirett contributed a big hit, a grand slam home run, for Essendon in the bottom of the fifth. With his team trailing 1-0, Sirett took a changeup from Darren Hulland and stroked the home run to left. His 13th home run of the season allowed the Knights to leap in front, 4-1.

"We're in a marathon, not a sprint," Sirett said in postgame remarks. "Soon enough, the finish line will be in sight."
