Late Magic Gets Canberra 4-2 Win
Les Westren was instrumental in his team's 4-2 triumph over the St. Kilda Saints. The left fielder hit 2 home runs for the Canberra Raiders. Canberra reliever Marc Martin picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Brad Patel absorbed the loss. Ozzie Rawle picked up the save for Canberra, his 7th of the year.

Westren had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the eighth. On a 2-2 sinker from Brad Patel, he banged a solo home run to right-center, giving the Raiders a 3-2 lead. It was the 10th home run of the year for Westren.

"I really like what we did out there today," Westren said after the game.

With the victory, the Raiders upped their record to 15-15.
