The performance of Joe Minto proved critical in helping Wests beat Cronulla, 6-5. The Tigers catcher went 2 for 4 with a home run and a double, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Win Cantrill picked up the save for Wests, his 6th of the year. The Tigers raised their record to 13-19.

Minto had a timely hit for Wests in the bottom of the seventh. With Cronulla trailing 4-3, he turned a 0-2 changeup into a 3-run home run. It was his 2nd home run of the season, making it 6-4, Wests.

"We came in and got the job done. That's what it's all about in this business," said Minto.
