Thatcher Lifts Sharks to 8-3 Win
The Cronulla Sharks beat the St. George Dragons, 8-3, at Endeavour Field. Cronulla third baseman Asa Thatcher had an outstanding performance. He was 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3. The Sharks raised their record to 3-1.

In the top of the seventh, Ben Etheridge stood in the box, looking for a pitch to hammer. The Dragons were trailing 6-3, but had the bases loaded. That's when Eric Jolly made a terrific pitch and Etheridge struck out. Gone was the dream of a St. George comeback.
