Sharks Come Back Late to Top Dragons, 10-8
The Cronulla Sharks and St. George Dragons lit up the scoreboard.

The inspired effort of St. George shortstop Bill Orson was not enough to prevent a loss, 10-8, to the Cronulla Sharks. Orson was 3 for 4 with a triple and 2 singles, while scoring 2 and driving in 3. Eric Jolly recorded the save, his 7th.

Cronulla used a timely hit from Mark Ryan to get the win. The right fielder stroked a bases-clearing double in the top of the eighth inning to put the Sharks ahead, 8-6. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it made an impact.

"The fans pay the tickets and help us do what we do, so we like to put on a show for them," Ryan told the Cronulla Daily News.

The Sharks, at 31-15, have now won 4 straight.
