Cronulla Won't Make Playoffs Monday, February 26th, 1996 Fans in Cronulla may been holding onto a glimmer of hope, but that has now been officially snuffed out -- the Sharks were mathematically eliminated from playoff contention today. "It's a tough day for everyone in the Cronulla Sharks organization," owner Andre Fosbrooke told reporters. "We will just have to come back stronger." Cronulla last appeared in the postseason in 1986. This is their 9th consecutive year missing the playoffs, and in total they have not advanced past the regular season 27 times in their 35-year history. Cronulla has won the Grand Final 2 times in their history. |
