Foale's Hit Streak Reaches 20 Games Monday, March 3rd, 1997 Marrickville first baseman Keefe Foale keeps on racking up hits every time he plays. His hitting streak now stands at 20 games after collecting 3 hits at Marrickville Fields today. The Brawlers took the 9-7 victory over the Hurstville Sluggers. "I have been seeing the ball really good the last few weeks, but I am a bit surprised how things are working out," Foale said. "I've gotten a couple flares to drop in, so I've also been a little lucky." Keefe Foale flied out in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, grounded out in the 5th, singled in the 7th and hit an RBI double in the 8th. This year Foale is hitting .366 with 8 home runs and 51 RBIs to his credit. He has gotten on base at a .395 clip and scored 67 runs. |
