VBL Star of the Week Honored Monday, March 2nd, 1998 It was a fantastic week for Collingwood third baseman Norm Moggs and it was capped off today with the announcement that he was named the winner of the Victorian Baseball League Player of the Week Award. Last week Moggs hammered the ball at a torrid .480 pace, going 12-for-25 with 2 home runs, 4 RBIs and 2 runs scored. This year Moggs has collected a .312 batting average to date with 145 hits in 465 at-bats, 54 RBIs, 17 home runs and scored 47 times. He has played in 117 games. |
