No Playoff Berth Coming for Collingwood Monday, March 2nd, 1998 The Collingwood Magpies kept up the playoff chase as long as they could in 1997, but now have had those chances dashed. The Magpies were mathematically eliminated from contention today. Before this season, the Magpies last missed the playoffs in 1994. In the 24 years they have been a Victorian Baseball League franchise, they have missed the playoffs 12 times. In the last 10 years, they have missed the playoffs 8 times. |
