Magpies Win Tight Northern Division Race Thursday, March 6th, 1997 Frank Quinton of the Collingwood Magpies said it would "mean so much" to the city if they could bring home a championship. The club has taken an important first step, clinching the Northern Division. "The city is hungry for a winner and for a team they can get behind. I think we're that team," he said. "It's time to bring a Grand Final to Collingwood." It's the club's 4th division title. "We may not be the most experienced playoff team, but we've got a lot of heart," the starting pitcher said. |
