Tigers Heading to Round 2

Fans of the Elizabeth Freedom groaned when Arturo Cuevas stepped up to the plate in the Round 1.
And for good reason too, as the Connecticut Tigers player was instrumental in guiding his team to a 3-1 series win over the Freedom.
The series was clinched tonight at Senator Thomas J. Dodd Memorial Stadium, with Connecticut coming out on top 6-3 in the deciding game.
Cuevas's strong series included a .500 batting average, with a .500 on-base percentage. He had 1 home runs, drove in 4 RBI and scored 1 runs.
The Connecticut Tigers don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the State College Spikes - Auburn Doubledays series. Auburn leads the series 2 games to 1. The Round 2 schedule will be announced after the Round 1 finishes.
