The Las Vegas Scorpions faced a tough opponent in Texas pitcher Jaheim Beemon, but did just enough to pull out the victory at Globe Life Park in Arlington by a final score of 4-2. Beemon went 7 innings and allowed 1 run. The triumph puts Las Vegas at 68-64 for the season.

Mike Bowers came through with a big-time hit for Las Vegas. The designated hitter smacked a 3-run home run in the top of the eighth inning to give his team the lead, 4-1. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.

"It feels good to get this one," Bowers told the Las Vegas Today.
