SL2 Reliever of the Year Award Winner Named

He may only be 20, but Chris Ackermann of the Hampton College Volcanoes has already established himself as one of the elite relievers in the Conference 2.

The reliever was today named the SL2 Reliever of the Year Award winner for 2053.

He won the award with a strong year that saw him put up 1 save in 19 relief appearances and 23 strikeouts in 20 innings. He had a record of 1-1 to go with his 1.80 ERA.

He received 28 first place votes out of a possible 40. Steve Forshey of the Austin College Snake Eyes finished second in voting with 12 first place votes, while Nate Mandigo of the Oakland College Rogues finished third.
