Getting an impressive start from Tim Gardner, Hoboken beat Brick by the score of 3-0. The winner was Gardner. He threw 7.0 innings of shutout ball. The loser was Lou Chambers. The Nine saw their record improve to 43-61.

Sam Lee had a big 2-run home run for the Nine in the bottom of the sixth inning. With Hoboken leading 1-0 and a runner on 2nd, he got a fastball from 2038 Demarcus Ramirez Pitching Award winner Shawn Rush and swatted a home run to right-center. It was his 5th home run of the season, and more importantly, it put the Nine ahead, 3-0.

Lee told a Hoboken Today reporter that he was "satisfied" with the win.
