Falcons Turn Back Arizona, 2-1

In a low-scoring clash between Fresno and Arizona, pitcher Victor Kennedy was a difference-maker. The right-hander earned accolades in the 2-1 win. Kennedy picked up the win for Fresno, going 5 innings. He gave up 1 run on 6 hits. He now sports a record of 2-1. Gregg Walters recorded his 7th save for Fresno.
The Falcons got a big at-bat from left fielder Jack Montemayor. For the game, Montemayor went 2 for 4 with a double. In the bottom of the fifth, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a run-scoring double. His 7th double of the season gave Fresno a 2-1 lead.
"I like winning," Kennedy told the Fresno Gazette. "I may joke around, but when it comes down to it, winning is the most important thing."
