Indians Suffer 4-2 Loss to Expos
|
Cleveland second baseman Chia-Wei Ni was sensational. He went 2-3 with a home run. He drove in 2 runs and scored once, but it wasn't enough to rally his team to a win. Montreal beat the Indians, 4-2. Justin Adkins earned the save for Montreal, his 1st of the year. Montreal is second in the Eastern Region North Division with a record of 17-17.
One of the key players for the Expos was first baseman Jimmy Miramontes, who drilled a run-scoring double in the top of the third inning. For the game, Miramontes was 1-2 with a double and 2 walks, while adding 2 RBI.
Miramontes called winning a team effort. "It's not the same guy every time," he said. "It's the sum of the parts."
