In a low-scoring affair between the Ahwatukee Roughnecks and the Glendale Gauchos, pitcher Baldo Madrigal was the difference between victory and defeat. The Ahwatukee right-hander earned accolades in the 3-2 Roughnecks win. Ahwatukee pitcher Davidson Collins got the win, upping his record to 1-2. Lee Jonson got the loss. Ahwatukee is now 19-30, Glendale 25-24.

In the bottom of the sixth, Ahwatukee first baseman Jefferson Hinojosa put his team on top. With no one out and a runner on 1st, he hit his 4th home run of the year. Glendale pitcher Lee Jonson served it up. Just like that, the Roughnecks were ahead, 3-2.

Madrigal told the Ahwatukee Times: "Win or lose, I don't want to see our team outhustled."
