The Louisville Bats topped the Birmingham Barons, 4-3, in International League action at Louisville Slugger Field. The standout performance belonged to Louisville pitcher and Largo, Florida, native Leo Wingard. The save went to Rey De La Rosa, his 7th this season. Louisville is now 42-47, while Birmingham is 41-48.

Louisville took a 4-3 lead on Jude Queen's 19th home run of the season. The 2-run home run came off Birmingham pitcher Pastor Olivas in the bottom of the eighth.
