With 5-4 Win, Dodgers Improve to 23-17
|
The Los Angeles Dodgers overcame a good performance by Portland right fielder Tyler Schember to knock off Portland, 5-4, at Dodger Stadium. Schember was 2 for 5 with 2 home runs. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice. The save was credited to Aiden Cohen, his 12th. The Hops, now 12-28, have lost 4 straight.
The Dodgers got a big at-bat from center fielder Andrew Sibold. For the game, Sibold was 1-4 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the third, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 3-run home run. His 3rd home run of the season gave Los Angeles a 5-2 lead.
"We'll enjoy this win," said Sibold. "But there's more we hope to accomplish."
