In baseball, each game is unique. This one was no different.

Pawtucket wasted an exceptional performance by pitcher Rob Kauffman, falling to the Ottawa Oddballs, 5-0. Kauffman threw 7.0 innings of shutout ball for the losing team. Ottawa's record now stands at 66-36, placing them second in the International League Northeast Division.

Ottawa used the timely hitting of J.C. Tejada to seize the win. The catcher stroked a 2-run single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Oddballs on top, 2-0. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"We'll enjoy this win for now, but it's just one," Tejada told local reporters. "We've got to keep it going."
