Twins Jolt Reds, 8-6, with Late Rally
The Minnesota Twins overcame a fine performance by Cincinnati third baseman Pierre Johnson to defeat the Reds, 8-6, at Great American Ball Park. Johnson went 2 for 4 with a home run, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2. The win was credited to Aaron Murray in relief. His record improves to 4-3. John Fegley took the loss. Zach Strain nailed down his 5th save.

Minnesota used the timely hitting of Nick Haftel to seize the win. The second baseman stroked a 2-run single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Twins on top, 8-5. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"We'll take this win and move on," said Haftel.

The win gives Minnesota a season record of 72-69.
